Print settings ============== Recommended settings -------------------- - PLA filament - 0.2-mm layer height - 15-% infill - No supports or brim (see :ref:`support-discs`) Clearance --------- The clearance between panels, grooves, and pegs was optimised for the above recommended settings and the :ref:`test setup` described below. These clearance settings are referred to as ``ClearanceStandard``. All mesh files that use these settings are in the corresponding ``meshes/ClearanceStandard`` directory. An alternative ``ClearanceLoose`` with larger clearance distances is also available and is intended for printers with a larger tolerance. Before printing all the parts you need, you should check if the clearance settings work with your own printer, material, and slicer settings. To do so, print two panel parts (e.g. 2 and 8 cm), one groove, and one peg cluster. Assemble these parts, making sure they fit tightly. See :doc:`frame` and :doc:`dividers` for details. Try ``ClearanceStandard`` first, then ``ClearanceLoose`` if the former is too tight. If parts are too tight or too loose, please report the issue along with a detailed description of your print settings, including printer, material, and slicer settings. You can also tune the clearance yourself as explained in the :doc:`cli`. .. _support-discs: Integrated support discs ------------------------ Large flat parts often exhibit poor print bed adhesion due to warping. To prevent this issue, parts include support discs at their corners or at their small sides where appropriate. These discs are easier to remove than a standard brim that runs around the whole part, and were sufficient to prevent warping during tests. .. figure:: schemes/support-discs.svg Support discs .. _test-setup: Test setup ---------- Test parts were printed on a Prusa CORE One with a high-flow 0.4-mm brass nozzle and Prusament PLA. Mesh files were sliced in Prusa Slicer 2.9.6 with the 0.20-mm layer height BALANCED printer profile and the Prusament PLA material profile. The only non-default setting was a gyroid-pattern infill with the default 15 % density. Parts were printed without any supports except the integrated support discs. Other setups ------------ If you print Draworg with a different printer or material, or with different slicer settings, please share your results, especially if you faced any difficulties.
